In order to book any type of class with a tutor on spires, whether paid, free, online or offline, you will need to add a credit/debit card to your Spires account.

*** We do not accept any other form of payment method on Spires ***

Adding a card confirms a class booking with our tutors. Failing to do so will mean that a class is not booked.

You will not be charged for free classes as long as you attend them, see here for more information. Payment is only requested by a tutor after the successful completion of a scheduled paid class. There is a detailed guide on how payments work on Spires here.

You will also need to add a card if you wish to post more than one tutor request on Spires, this stops people from spamming our request system. You will not be charged for posting requests, but we only accept multiple requests from client who are likely to actually have classes.

If you are unhappy with a class for any reason, you can request a refund from your tutor within 48 hours of the class, and if they are happy to do so the funds will be returned to your card automatically. Refund requests are rare on Spires, but if disputes do arise, our team can step in to resolves things quickly. You can always message us using the blue button.

All payments on Spires are processed by Stripe, one of the largest payment providers in the world. Stripe is fast, secure and completely automated. When a payment request is sent after a successful class by the tutor, your card will be debited and the funds will be directed to the tutor's account by Stripe.

See our full terms and conditions for more information.
