Spam or Junk Folders

Emails marked as spam or junk will not be delivered to your usual inbox.

  • Please check your spam folder for any ‘Spires Tutoring’ emails.

  • You will need to select the email (s).

  • Mark it as not spam or move it from junk to your inbox.

Each email provider will have this option, but it may appear in a slightly different location. Here are the most commonly used email providers for example.

GMAIL:

OUTLOOK (also formally known as Hotmail):

Invalid Email Addresses

TWO instances would make an email invalid:

  • Email changed after sign up and incorrectly entered (e.g. spelt incorrectly)

  • Email provider issue (The email provider no longer supports the address)

Example 1:

Using a school, university or work email address, after you have graduated or left the establishment. These email addresses are often closed after leaving.

Example 2:

The domain (e.g. @chocolate.com) no longer exists.

Organisational Policies

When you use an email address from an organisation, school or company, that has an IT department that restricts mailboxes from outside organisations. This can prevent emails from being delivered.

How to fix this:

Contact your organisation's IT department and request Spires emails be whitelisted.

Inbox Full

When email boxes reach their storage limits, emails may bounce back.

How to fix this:

  • Delete emails that are no longer needed.

  • Increase storage capacity. (Each email provider will have a different process for doing this, please reach out to them for further support on this)

*Spires recommends the use of GMAIL as an email provider.
