Running late to class

Whilst we want tutors to maintain professionalism and be on time for all their classes, there are times when this might not happen.

What to do when you are running late to a class:

  1. Message the student explaining you're running late.

  2. Understand that the student is expecting a set length of time for the class, of which you will need to possibly extend the class or make up the time.

  3. You should ONLY charge for the time you are present with the student in the class.

If the student is running late...

Guidance has been provided to the students as follows when they are late to a class:

"Sometimes you can be running late to a class, but for whatever reason it is important you do the following to avoid extra charges:

  1. Inform your tutor by sending them a chat message, as soon as you know you are going to be late.

  2. Understand that if you are late to class, the tutor has every right to charge for the time missed.

  3. Understand if you are MORE than 15 minutes late, the tutor has every right to mark the class as missed and charge the full rate."

Agreeing Charges for lateness

As the tutor, it is at your discretion as to whether you charge for the lateness and/or mark it as a missed class.
