Running late to a class
Sometimes you can be running late to a class, but for whatever reason you must do the following to avoid extra charges:
Inform your tutor by sending them a chat message, as soon as you know you are going to be late.
Understand that if you are late to class, the tutor has every right to charge for the time missed.
Understand if you are MORE than 15 minutes late, the tutor has every right to mark the class as missed and charge the full rate.
Avoid being late
To make sure you are on time for your classes, make sure you log onto Spires with enough time to check the following to prevent any delays in joining the classroom:
Log on at least 5 minutes before your class.
Check your internet connection.
Check your camera and microphone settings are in good working order, every time you have a class.
Let your tutor know you are 'ready' for the class by dropping them a message in the chat.
Tutors Time
Whilst we hope all tutors are on time for all of their classes, there can be times when they are not. If a tutor is late opening your class, they will only be able to charge you for the time they are present.
Missed Class Time
Between yourself and the tutor, you will need to arrange a time to make up any missed part of a class. This is a conversation that should be had then and there to ensure clarity between student and tutor to avoid any issues when payment is taken/made at the end of classes.
