We have a video to guide you through the process, alternatively you can find pictures and text below:
At the end of the class, you would come back to Spires and click on end class. You will then see a pop up like this that has several boxes that can be filled in. This should be done immediately after a class, not the following day or any period of time later.
This allows you to leave a rating, and some information about what was covered in the class. It is not compulsory, but is a useful way to leave a record of what happened in the class for both yourself and the student.
One of the biggest sources of complaints on Spires is charging more than the scheduled class length. We do not recommend charging for extra class time unless your student explicitly agreed to the charges. When it comes to a few extra minutes of class time, good will goes a long way in building rapport with clients and overcharging can destroy the relationship quickly. Obviously if the class was significantly longer than scheduled you may want to charge and we do not want tutors to be out of pocket. Tutors who receive complaints about overcharging may face action from Spires.
If you are teaching a child, speak to their parents/guardians, or the people paying for the lessons. It is recommended to try and get maintain some contact with them, as they are the people who send referrals your way.
