References are a standard part of any job application and make up an important part of our safeguarding protocol.

Tutors will be requested to provide us with the contact details of at least 2 referees, either as part of their initial application or once they have successfully passed our interview.

Choosing who to ask as a reference is an important step and we ask that references will be either a:

  • Current Employer/Manager

  • Former Employer/Manager

  • Professor/Lecturer

  • Colleague

  • Previous Client

We ask that where possible, tutors provide us with their referee's professional/work email address.

Once a tutor has successfully passed our interview, we will email their referees with a short form to fill in. We have kept the requested information to a minimum, to ensure the form is as quick as possible to fill out.

Tutors will not be able to bid on roles until we have 2 approved references. They should follow up with their referees to encourage them to fill in the requested information asap, to ensure there is no delay to their ability to get started.

Any references which do not pass our approval process, may lead to a tutors application being terminated.
